CBCT Scanner

The newest technology in our dental office, called the Orthophos S, is able to take 3-D scans of the jaws and create detailed images of a patient’s bone, tooth, nerve, sinus, and airway structures. This device reveals much more detail about a patient’s dental anatomy compared to a regular X-ray, helping us better diagnose potential issues and plan treatments with more precision. We can even use the scans to zoom in and focus on specific areas, such as the jaw joint or just a few teeth, enabling us to get to the root of an issue quickly and accurately.

This type of scan will eventually become the standard of care in dentistry, but right now, it already is the standard of care in our dental office for major procedures. Some medical insurances will cover scans like these, which can help someone save on their out-of-pocket costs and leave more dental insurance benefits available for treatment.

Digital Full
Facial X-Rays

When planning certain dental procedures, a standard digital X-ray may not be enough to fully understand all the precise, necessary details. Thankfully, Dr. Brett Noorda has a state-of-the-art Panorex machine. This technology captures two-dimensional X-rays that show both the upper and lower jaw of the patient, allowing us to more accurately understand orthodontic needs, diagnose gum disease and wisdom teeth impaction, detect oral cancer, and more. The amount of radiation involved is also minimized when compared to more traditional techniques, making the process safer overall.

In-Room
Digital X-Rays

When assessing the condition of your oral health during a regular dental checkup, Dr. Brett Noorda will rely on in-room digital X-rays to capture the valuable information he and his team need. Digital X-rays are taken and transferred to our computer system within seconds, no tedious darkroom development or hazardous chemicals required. We can even color-code and magnify them for educational purposes! Like full facial X-rays, this advanced technique also reduces the amount of necessary radiation by up to 90%.

Digital Dentures

Digital dentures offer patients astounding benefits when compared to traditional prosthetics. After taking impressions of your teeth, Dr. Brett Noorda will collect special information that’s then used to compile an accurate digital record. Then, just a couple of weeks later, you’ll be enjoying your brand-new, digitally made dentures! Using a computer helps to eliminate imperfections common to traditional dentures regarding fit, alignment, and bite, and if you need a second or replacement set of dentures, they can be made at any time to the exact same specifications using your existing digital information.
